I like this diaper bag, though I wouldn't really call it a diaper bag. It's more of a big insulated lunch bag. I have the Fleurville Sling Tote in the Denim Grommet pattern. It is soo beautiful! it's not laminated like the other fabrics, but it amazingly stays clean and does not show wear at all. My diaper bag looks brand new, the only way you can tell it's used is by looking at the metal feet on the bottom, it's scratched a little but that's about it. I'm not really keen on the whole plastic over-wrapping on the bags so the denim grommet is perfect, it's much more classy and sophisticated.

This bag is medium sized, but so well organized that it can hold everything I need for a day out with my 4 year old and almost 2 year old. Each of the four internal open pockets is big enough for diapers and wipes: I use one pocket for diapers, one for wipes, 1 for a spare t-shirts and socks, and one for my wallet and camera. I keep medicine kit stuff in the zip pocket. I was able to actually fit an 18 oz. Kleen Kanteen in the side zipper pocket, too, a TOTAL plus (if you use both side bottle pockets, the inside of the bag loses a little space). The strap is adjustable and long enough for me (5'9) to wear messenger style. I can keep baby books & a small coloring book in the back pocket. There is a detachable key clip too, which I prefer to caribiner. The two front pockets are a bit of a waste of space. The DO NOT snap close or otherwise have any way to secure them. One is small enough for a cell, though I really wish it had a snap or velcro closure (otherwise my cell could fall out). The other might be large enough for a small wallet, but there is no way to secure it and if you put something in there it bulges out and looks silly. I wish the two front pockets were the same size and had a snap closure - that's really my only complaint with this bag though (and hence the four, not five star rating). I loved the beautiful print on ths bag, as well as the light colored (sky blue) interior - no more black hole effect, as was the case with my last OiOi bag. The straps are no-slip canvas, another improvement over the more slippery seatbelt fabric of my older bag. However, the improvements stop there. The interior organization is still not great (one large pocket but no snap to close it, 2 smaller pockets that can barely accommodate a few diapers and wipes only if you used the provided wipe box). There is no interior bottle pocket, so the bottle can easily tip over during transit. The changing pad is still too short, too bulky, and made of cheap stiff nylon. The accessory bag is cheap non-environmentally or health-friendly PVC and is not big enough to hold much. Side pockets are OK but not great. No other exterior pockets for things like your keys, wallet, or pacifiers. This bag could be improved, but it is so gorgeous you almost can look past all its shortcomings. I would rate this at a 2 1/2 if I could. It functions, but not well in my opinion. I bought this changing pad because I my diaper bag didn't come with one and I needed something to put my baby on when I'm changing her on the go. I really would have loved just a simple, plastic pad that I could stick in my diaper bag, but I couldn't find one. There are two things that I dislike about this product. The first is that you can only put a few wipes and maybe 2 diapers in it. The second thing is that the closure is non-adjustable. If it adjusted you would be able to put more diapers in, and some diaper cream. This isn't a problem when I have the whole diaper bag with me because I keep more diapers and cream in it, but this is supposed to be something that you can take just by itself if need be, and in that capacity I feel it falls short. I'm also afraid that it may not last long because with two diapers and a few wipes it's hard to close and the clips are just plastic. When you use it if you don't have enough space then part of it is hanging down, and stuff can fall out. Who wants their baby's stuff falling out on a public restroom floor?! Overall, I am very happy with the usefulness of this backpack, but I am concerned about the quality of this product.

I have a 20-month old toddler and had to ditch the over-one-shoulder diaper bag in favor of a backpack. This backpack is laid out very well:

-I put her sippy cup in the cold pack on the side and my water bottle on the other side.
-My wallet and cell phone are easily accessible in the outside pocket (with the clip).
-I put her diapers, wipes, cream, sunscreen and extra clothes/shoes in the main pocket, which also has smaller pockets for organization.
-There's another easy-access, zippered pocket at the top of the bag where I put chapstick, lipstick and pens.
-The cooler on the bottom is useful, but not a good place to store food that can be crushed because it takes the weight of the entire bag. When I use it, I put food in plastic containers with lids and then throw in a small ice pack to keep everything cool. It's still a handy space, especially if something spills because the mess is contained.

I am giving the Short Haul Sherpa Diaper Backpack 3 out of 5 stars for three reasons:

-The fabric on my backpack tore after only a few weeks' use. The tear is on the top/front of the bag and one inch long. It's not on a seam and does not compromise the integrity of the bag, but it looks bad and it does make me wonder about whether it will last through more than one kid.
-The mesh pockets on the upper sides of the bag are utterly useless. They're too small and not tight enough to hold anything. Toys, keys, and even baby sunglasses don't stay in them.
-The bag arrived with a broken key ring (it's on the inside). It won't clasp. It's not a huge deal, which is why I didn't bother returning it for a new one, but I thought it was important to note.

I would say, if you can find another backpack that fits your needs and is high quality, go with that one. My SkipHop over-the-shoulder bag was much sturdier but this Short Haul fits my current needs.Get more detail about Shorthaul Sherpa Diaper Backpack - Black.
