I got sucked into getting a Petunia Pickle Bottom bag because of their pretty fabric. Well, for this kind of price you expect it works well too. It does not.
It is VERY heavy even when empty.
Straps are very uncomfortable to carry backpack style.
No insulated bottle/cup compartments.
Difficult to clean.
Not that many pockets for organization.
Also, depending on the style you get, the lining may be dark, and thus creating a back hole effect where you can't find anything.

I bought this bag after reading many reviews on this and other bags and the specs seemed to fit my needs. Well, first off, the bag does not fit as much as the description claims. The bag is shorter than it looks, as the insulated compartment takes up the bottom half of the bag. I now have 2 children and it is difficult to fit a days worth of supplies in it for 2. Within 30 days, the large carry handle strap began to fray. I tried several attempts to reach the company for replacement, but never received a response. I have had the bag for a little over a year now and the more I use the bag the more it falls apart, now the mesh compartment is comming apart. I am currently in the market for something larger and more durable. I might just go with a regular hiking backpack. Now that I have been using this bag for almost 5 months, I can give a review. First off, this is a very cute, stylish bag, obviously. It has lots of handy compartments which I use. There's a place for my keys, phone, wallet, diapers, etc. The green lining is cute BUT. . . the edge of the fabric along the seams of the inner lining is completely shredding, leaving threads. I had to cut them since they were getting tangled up and messy. So far it has not completely TORN but is pretty annoying.

Also, the clips for my keys, which I was thrilled with, both broke. I simply used pliers to squeeze them back in place. The shoulder strap on this bag is also a problem. There is no padding and it is very difficult to carry on the shoulder due to it's width. I usually throw it on my BOB along the handlebars and it stays put there. But if I have the baby in a sling, then there is no way for me to bring along this bag.

As far as capacity, this is a big bag and can carry loads of stuff. When I travel it comes with me on the plane, crammed with baby stuff, magazines, and stuff for my other kids as well.

I just received this diaper bag in the mail today, and I love it! It is so cute. It's a nice quality bag with nylon handle straps, and the interior is all wipe-off vinyl. While the exterior is a fabric material that seems like it would be easy to take care of. You could either wipe it clean, or throw it in the wash on gentle, and hang to dry. I also love the fact that it has so many pockets. There is a pocket in the very front (where the animal image is) that has two smaller pouches inside to hold little items such as baby nail clippers and baby spoons or hair clips. (I have girls) There are two "bottle" pockets one on each side of the bag for either bottles or Sippy cups, and a large pocket inside as well as another on the very back of the bag. The bag itself comes with a changing pad in the same green to match, and the pad is very cushy. Much better than any pads that I had found for my first two girls. The changing pad fits just inside the very back pocket. (See the images) Typically I would use a backpack as my diaper bag like I did for my first two, and still might switch once the baby goes into toddler stages and we are going to the park often. However I love this bag for use in the early stages because it's also got four more pouches sewn inside the lining in the main pocket that have elastic on the edges to hold in all your smaller items such as diapers, little socks, lotions etc. The bag overall is not so big that you feel like you are carrying around a suitcase, but it is definitely big enough to hold the necessities and then some, as it has so many pockets. I am very excited to be able to use this bag as I have all the fisher price rain forest items and my baby's crib set is going to be in monkeys. I bought this little bag for a 9 day trip and it was a lifesaver. We were staying with various friends, having dinners in homes that were not equipped with highchairs and were able to have no problems letting our son join the dinner table and eat. He is a little over one and this put him right up to the table. It is nice and secure and he is secure in it.

HE is not a good "lap-eater" so it was really great. It is a little small inside but plenty of room for diapers and such, you have to pack efficiently, I also carried one of those stuff-sack shopping bags in it in case we needed more space for souveneirs etc..

I did get the "flower power" color (the tan) and while I really love it, your child is eating on it so it gets pretty gross. It cleaned up nicely but I think a darker color may have been a smarter choice.

I think the two insulated bottle holders inside the bag are great but a little small (only about 4" deep). It does have a reinforced bottom so it isn't floppy. My husband likes that it's not "girly." I do use the diaper changing pad often. I keep at least 6 diapers, a big stack of wipes, snacks, bottles/sippy cups, an extra outfit or blanket all in the main compartment. Lots of little stuff gets tucked into the side pocket on the back and front organizer (the mesh part mentioned in other reviews). I would buy this for someone else. I bought this as a wet bag for my BG 3.0 cloth diapers. It works ok, but some aspects of it's design are annoying. It has very long cords so that the wet bag can function as a backpack. At first this was convenient for me to grab a clean diaper, stick the wet wipes in the mesh pocket and run with my baby to the restroom. However, I typically have the whole diaper bag with me, so this functionality is not important to me. Also, when I wash the wet bag the cords get wrapped around all the diaper and create a tangled mess. I finally just cut off the cords b/c they were becoming such a problem and don't seem to provide any extra protection against wetness in my diaper bag. I've found that it is not as waterproof as another wet bag I have that has PUL and cotton cover with zipper. The Bumkins has been known to make other things in my diaper bag damp if I have an especially wet diaper in it. I still use this bag, but it's not much more useful than reusing a grocery bag. This diaper bag is super cute and just the right size. It has an open top, which is not that bad--it was the reason I hesitated buying it because I thought everything would fall out. Not so. Heavy

Not that roomy..good for all essentials ...but can not throw in a blanket and a my baby carrier...which i suspect most diaper bags dont allow.

the strap length though adjustable not long enough for a big guy like my hubby..205 pounds... I will be punching a few holes in it to make it longer..
