I bought this because I had the old Diaper Genie when I had my two other children. The old one worked great! We never smelled a thing. Although this one is much user friendly, it doesn't work as well. After we throw a diaper away, there is usually a nasty smell in the area. We have the Diaper Champ in the baby room and it works much better.
